🎮 What is a "Trimui" console and why is it better than a Game Boy? If you grew up with a Game Boy in your hands, get ready to have your mind blown. At Bytechip we know nostalgia is powerful, but today's technology lets you carry thousands of games in your pocket for a fraction of what an original console would cost today. This is where Trimui comes in. What exactly is a Trimui? Trimui is a brand of Chinese handheld consoles (known as retro handhelds) that use Linux-based operating systems to emulate classic consoles. Its most famous model, the Trimui Smart Pro, has a design reminiscent of a PlayStation Vita, but with the ability to play almost everything that existed before the year 2000. 🆚 Trimui vs. Game Boy: why is it "better"? Don't get us wrong, we love the original Game Boy, but for today's user, the Trimui wins by a landslide on these points: Full-colour, backlit screen: Forget looking for a lamp to be able to play. The Trimui has a high-resolution IPS screen. No more batteries: It charges by USB-C, just like your phone. A single charge gives you up to 5-7 hours of play. Infinite catalogue: While on a Game Boy you need one cartridge per game, on a Trimui you can put thousands of games on a MicroSD card from Game Boy, Game Boy Color, GBA, NES, SNES, Master System, Mega Drive and even PlayStation 1 and PSP. Modern buttons: It includes analogue sticks and rear triggers (L/R), something the Game Boy never dreamed of having. Price: For what a used Game Boy Advance in good condition costs, you can buy a new Trimui that emulates 20 different systems. 🛠️ Is it hard to use for a beginner? Not at all! It is what we call "switch on and play". They come with a very visual interface (with the game covers). They let you save the game at any time, even in games that originally did not allow it. You can connect Bluetooth headphones to play on the bus or the train.
